Our services are broad-based, both in terms of treatment and patients. Seeing that Velji Chiropractic Centre is a family chiropractor, we treat patients of all ages. Not only do we treat back problems through adjustments, acupuncture, and massage therapy, we also handle foot problems. We offer custom orthotic inserts and specially-made sandals to ease foot pain
In addition, we have state-of-the-art equipment that some other chiropractic offices don’t yet offer. For instance, our surface electromyogram (SEMG) can determine if you have suffered nerve or muscle damage by showing electrical activity in your spinal muscles. We use the SEMG during our initial assessment. We also offer laser acupuncture (acupuncture without needles) and have a massage therapist on site.

Laser Acupuncture //
We continue to offer traditional needle acupuncture, which is generally painless, but we are also proud to provide laser acupuncture as an alternative. In laser acupuncture, low-energy laser beams replace the traditional needles, targeting the appropriate acupuncture points. Dr. Velji directs the beam at each site for anywhere from 10 seconds to a few minutes. The laser, which emits from a helium-neon source, gently applies heat to the targeted area.
What can Laser Acupuncture treat? //
Laser acupuncture has been found to be effective in the treatment of such maladies as tennis elbow, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic headaches in children, and even stroke paralysis. Laser acupuncture stimulates acupuncture points just as the needles do, increasing cell production in tissue. This process leads to a reduction in swelling and better blood flow, speeding up the recovery process. It increases endorphin and serotonin release, which relieves pain.
How does it feel? //
You will experience no pain during laser acupuncture treatments and probably will feel very relaxed. Many patients report a feeling of
well-being after a laser acupuncture treatment.
